[Updated] Frontier Internet is down or not working? You’re not alone

Based in Stanford, Connecticut, Frontier Communication previously served rural areas, but has expanded its operations and now has a presence in select cities as well.

In 2020, it had over 3.57 million users, the majority of which were residential customers. The same year, Frontier Communications filed for bankruptcy and sold its junk bonds.

That said, recent reports Frontier netizens say the service is down or not working for many.

Some initially thought it was a problem on their end and tried restarting their router, changing browsers, and clearing cookies, but to no avail.

Outage Detector – a popular service that gives live outage information – has numerous reports that Frontier Internet is indeed down for some.

Many are venting their frustration on social media platforms like Twitter. And here are some testimonials from people involved.

Same here, everything on my router says it’s connected but none of my devices will connect to the internet, it must be a general outage

Unfortunately, we haven’t found an official word yet, but as always, we’ll keep an eye out and update this article as we come across more information.

Update 1 (July 26, 2022)

6:36 p.m. (IST): It appears that the recent Frontier Internet outage has now been resolved, as we have come across no new reports of Twitter.

Update 2 (September 16, 2022)

10:24 a.m. (IST): New reports on Twitter and Downdetector report that Frontier subscribers are currently experiencing issues with the internet.

While some say it is completely down, others complain about seeing huge packet drops or slow speeds.

Update 3 (September 19, 2022)

5:22 p.m. (IST): According to reports on Downdetector, the recent Frontier outage appears to have been resolved.

Update 4 (October 14, 2022)

1:00 p.m. (IST): According to new reports on Downdetector and Twitterit seems that Frontier customers are currently experiencing issues with internet services.

Update 5 (3 November 2022)

10:15 a.m. (IST): Several user reports on Twitter and Downdetector suggest that Frontier is currently down or not working for many.

Fortunately, support has recognized the problem and said they are looking for any possible failure.
